We have been busy with the holiday (St. Patrick's Day, not Easter) and buzzing around spending time with various family and friends.
A couple of weeks ago we went to Charlene and Wade's for a party in honor of Myles and Melisa's engagement. Here are a couple of pictures I snatched from Andrea's blog...
We headed to Plymouth after the party to hang out with Scott and Amy, and Amy and I were lucky enough to witness "nerds in action". Scott is the sweetest thing, and he's so quiet, but I can't seem to help myself from teasing him....and he's always a good sport.
While they quietly played a few games of chess and Snatch, Amy and I hung out, watched TV and compared notes on our nerdy husbands. It was a very nice and relaxing evening, and I think the Scott one guy that Seth can bond with having never gotten shitfaced with him. Isn't that nice?
Then on Sunday, Seth and I met up with Dennis at a little pub, and Seth dropped me off for some daddy/daughter chill time. We went to the MGM casino, where I very quickly lost $80.00 but still had fun
enjoying a beer and smoke with Papa. Then we went to the Pistons/bulls game where the Pistons FINALLY won after being humiliated by the Bulls for several of the previous games.
Dennis also won a lottery among season ticket holders for a meet and greet after the game, so of course we had to go shopping for souvenirs that could be signed by whomever was assigned to greet us after the game.
With about 5 minutes left of the game, we got to walk down to the floor and through the tunnel to one of the press rooms, and while it took FOREVER for things to get rolling, it totally ended up being worth it.
Here is who we hung out with... John "Spider" Sally...
Juan Dixon...
This is me and papa
chillin before the players showed up...
Oh...and then Tayshaun Prince showed up!!!
What up, Tayshaun???@?@? He was so shy and quiet. I think Papa and I smiled the whole way home from Detroit...
And the fun didn't stop there...the next weekend we took My Buddy back on the road for yet another Sloppy Saturday. We started the day with breakfast in bed, which was a pint of Guinness, and continued on to Standale for the State game with Jonny for a few...
A couple of shots...
Super skinny sethy!!
And then came Easter at the burger house! Horrible driving, but a wings game and time with family always melts away the tension, right??
REDWINGS!!! We were in awesome club seats right on the goal line. Got to see all 4 RW goals as they crushed the Bluejackets 4-1.
Papa Burger trying to scalp Hans' ticket...
Tata toting a sleepy gavin...
Seth, Cameron and I playing elevator tricks on the non-smokers.
Gavin searched for Easter eggs while all the big kids searched for "golden eggs". The Easter Bunny put various amounts of money in each golden egg, and Marah and I both got the big bonus! The Burger Bunch brunched with a Father Louie from Nigeria and then Seth and I got out of doing dishes by heading to Howell to have Chinese easter dinner with Grandma K., Little Matt, Monica, Craig and Paul.
And that is what happened...
